Established in 1991 by the Government of Karnataka, Government First Grade College is affiliated with Mangalore University and holds accreditation from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This esteemed institution offers a wide range of Bachelor’s courses in Arts, Business Management, Social Work, Science, and Commerce streams. The college takes pride in its highly qualified and experienced faculty dedicated to providing quality education.
With a focus on providing a comprehensive learning environment, the college is equipped with essential facilities such as a Library and Information Centre, an Audiovisual Room/Mini Auditorium, a spacious Computer Laboratory, and Sports and Games facilities. Additionally, it boasts a vibrant NSS unit with 100 dedicated volunteers, conducting special camps and engaging in various regular activities each year.
