On the other hand, admission to the M.E course requires candidates to appear for either the TANCET or GATE entrance examinations.

The TNEA process is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) in Tamil Nadu, while the TANCET entrance examination is administered by Anna University.
