The Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT) has a noteworthy history, previously known as M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, established in 1993. Offering a comprehensive 4-year undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) degree, the Faculty has earned a strong reputation in the industry.
FHMCT boasts strong connections with renowned hotels and esteemed hospitality establishments worldwide. Students receive rigorous training and gain valuable experience through their engagements with these establishments. Over the years, students have secured successful placements in various hospitality, retail, and corporate sectors across the globe. Many students also embark on internships in Europe, the USA, Australia, and the Middle East.
With a dedicated faculty comprising approximately 30 members and a student body of around 400, FHMCT demonstrates its commitment to academic excellence. The faculty actively contributes to research and knowledge dissemination, publishing more than 25 papers annually and participating in presentations and exhibitions. Additionally, they contribute to university publications, including the Book of Students Projects Abstracts, a student feedback magazine called Reflections, and a biannual technical journal SAS Tech.

Admissions
Applicants awaiting their 12th results must attain a minimum percentage before submitting their applications. For intermediate passed candidates, a score of more than 45% is required, while the reserved category candidates should have 40% or above. These scores must be obtained from a recognized board and can be from any stream.
Foreign/International students, including Foreign students, POIs cardholders, and OCI dual citizens, are also eligible to apply. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite for admission, and applicants must possess educational qualifications or meet the minimum TOEFL score requirement to be admitted to the program.
Placements
