Established in 1987 by Sri Hombe Gowda Education Trust, Dr. HLT College of Pharmacy, Karnataka, was founded with the objective of commemorating the late parent Dr. H.L. Thimmegowda, former Health and Family Minister of the Karnataka Government. The college’s mission is to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to embark on a successful professional career in various pharmacy settings, including community pharmacies, hospitals, and industrial pharmacies. The college strives to meet the societal needs at local, regional, and global levels while focusing on fostering student growth. By adhering to “GOOD PHARMACY SCHOOL PRACTICES,” the institution aims to establish pharmacy professional standards and develop global competencies, envisioning the future Indian pharmacist as a vital and adept health professional committed to providing optimal services to society.
Admissions
Seats in all courses are allocated solely on the basis of candidates’ merit, with no requirement for an entrance exam. Lateral Entry Admissions to the second year of B.Pharm are available for eligible candidates. The application form can be obtained from the college website.
Placements
The primary role of the placement cell is to facilitate the interaction between the institute and the industry. By continuously working to bridge this gap, the placement cell ensures that students have access to job opportunities.
