Established in 1988 by the CMS Educational and Charitable Trust, a non-profit organization, CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore, commonly referred to as CMS College, has made a name for itself. In 2007, the college was granted autonomy, a significant recognition. It holds the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi, and is recognized by the University Grants Commission. The college earned the impressive ranking of 82 in the college category according to the NIRF in 2020.
