Admissions

CMS College of Engineering and Technology offers a comprehensive range of degree courses for aspiring engineers. At the undergraduate level, we provide a Bachelor of Engineering degree in five different specializations. Additionally, we offer a Master of Engineering degree at the postgraduate level. The duration of our undergraduate courses is four years, while all the disciplines under the postgraduate program have a duration of two years.

To secure admission to our BE degree courses, the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process, conducted by Anna University, is followed. Prospective students can choose to fill out the TNEA application form either online or offline. The minimum eligibility requirement for BE courses is a score of at least 50% in HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Admission to the BE program is based on a merit list, which is determined by the percentage obtained in the 10+2 examination.

For those interested in pursuing the ME degree course, applicants must hold a BE/B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution. Admission to the ME courses involves the state-level offline entrance exam called TANCET, conducted by Anna University. Alternatively, GATE scorecards are also accepted for ME admissions.

Placements

The Placement and Training cell at our college plays a crucial role in guiding students towards successful careers. Working in close collaboration with the placement and value-added education departments, our training division assists students in acquiring the necessary skills for immediate employment. Our primary aim is to develop graduates who are not only technically proficient but also possess essential soft skills that make them readily employable.

Within our college, we have a dedicated in-house training wing that focuses on areas such as communication skills, relationship-building, personality development, and other behavioral aspects relevant to engineering graduates entering the workforce. Our comprehensive training programs are designed to prepare students to face the recruitment process and meet the industry’s requirements.

To ensure personalized development, we administer a series of Training Assessments to evaluate each individual’s skills and potential. Based on the assessment results, students receive coaching, guidance, mentoring, support, or specific training tailored to their needs. Our goal is to empower students with the right combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, enabling them to thrive in any professional setting.
