CAAD – Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design is situated near Periyapalayam on the Chennai Thirupathi highway, within the boundaries of Chennai. The presence of the Bhavani Amman Temple in Periyapalayam attracts numerous devotees, who gather in large numbers during weekends and the months of Aadi and Avani.
AARULMIGU NAYAGAI SWAMIGAL SOURASHTRA EDUCATIONAL TRUST was established under the blessings of Natanagopala Nayagi Swamigal, a devoted disciple of Lord Sri Balaji. Swamigal imparted social, moral, and spiritual teachings through his keerthanas (devotional songs) in both Tamil and Sourastra languages. The trust was established with a primary objective of providing quality education in fields that have the potential to make a profound impact on society. In line with this vision, the ‘Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design’ was founded to offer exceptional education in the field of architecture. The institution aims to uphold the values and ethics propagated by the revered saint and encourages students to lead socially balanced and disciplined lives.
Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
The admission form for the program can be filled online. To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Candidates should have passed the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi, or have a valid score in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main – Paper II (B.Arch.) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of the Senior School Certificate Examination or an equivalent examination. Mathematics should be one of the subjects of examination at the 10+2 level from a recognized central/state board.

Every month, CAAD (Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design) organizes the CAAD Lecture Series, where professionals practicing in various disciplines of Architecture, both from India and abroad, are invited to interact with the students. This provides students with valuable opportunities to engage with potential employers and gain insights into diverse areas of the field. Additionally, CAAD facilitates internships for its students in prestigious architecture firms across India, allowing them to gain practical experience and enhance their professional skills.
