The B.M.S. College of Engineering in Bengaluru (BMSCE) was established in 1946 as the first privately-run engineering education initiative in India. Since its inception, the institution has produced over 40,000 engineers and leaders who have made significant contributions to the world. Despite starting with only three undergraduate courses, BMSCE now offers a total of 14 undergraduate and 15 postgraduate courses in both conventional and emerging areas. Fourteen of its departments are recognized as research centers, providing PhD and M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees in Science, Engineering, and Management. Currently, over 350 research scholars are pursuing their PhD degrees in these centers, and BMSCE has already produced 160 PhDs through its research programs.

Since 1946, BMSCE has been offering quality education in various engineering fields and continues to do so with a greater focus on research and development in the years to come. BMSCE Bangalore offers admission to a total of 46 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The companies then conduct multiple rounds of the selection process, including aptitude tests, group discussions, personal interviews, and more. The selected students’ names are then provided to the BMSCE Bangalore placement department, which notifies the students concerned.
