Initially established as the Department of Architecture in 1980, it gained recognition as an independent College of Architecture in 2016. Admissions
For over 40 years, BMS College of Architecture has been a renowned and established institution in Bangalore, providing high-quality education. The courses offered, including Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), Master of Architecture (M.Arch in Habitat Design), and Doctoral Program (Ph.D.), are recognized by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.
Prospective applicants for the undergraduate program at BMSCA must meet the admission eligibility criteria. The college provides admission through the government quota and private quota. Additionally, there is the management quota for admission. The total number of seats available for the B.Arch UG Course is 120, of which 45% are reserved for the government quota, 30% for the private quota, and the remaining 25% of seats are allotted for the management quota.
In order to apply for the Postgraduate program at BMS College of Architecture, students must fulfill the eligibility criteria. Admission to the M.Arch (Habitat Design) program is offered under both government and management quotas. Applicants to the M.Arch degree course must obtain valid scores in the GATE examination. The seat allocation for the M.Arch course is as follows: 20% of seats are reserved for the government quota, while the remaining 80% are filled through the management quota.
