Established in 1995, CSI Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science (CSIBACAS) is a prestigious institute located in Tamil Nadu. It offers a wide range of degree programs, including 12 undergraduate (UG) courses, 5 postgraduate (PG) courses, and 3 advanced masters courses. These programs are available in both full-time and part-time modes. CSIBACAS aims to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge in their chosen fields. Students have the option to pursue various courses such as M.Phil, B.Sc., BCA, BBA, B.Com, BSW, B.A., MSW, M.Sc., M.A., M.Com, and MCA, specializing in areas such as humanities and social sciences, hospitality and travel, science, IT and software, animation, design, business and management studies, and accounting and commerce. The institute has a team of trained and experienced faculty members who contribute to the expertise and proficiency of the students in disciplines like fashion design, mathematics, apparel design, and textile design. All the courses offered by CSIBACAS are recognized and approved by regulatory bodies such as AICTE.
Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Candidates who have cleared their 12th standard/HSC/10+2 examination (or any equivalent level of examination) from a recognized board are eligible for admission. To enroll in this program, a minimum requirement is a 3-year bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university, with a minimum aggregate score of 60%.
Placements
In our college, the placement cell has been able to secure placements for a limited number of students. However, these placements predominantly consist of clerical positions and do not include any top-tier companies or coveted roles within organizations. The recruited companies primarily offer job opportunities in sales and marketing, which may not be directly relevant to students pursuing a commerce-related field.
On the other hand, a significant majority of the students, surpassing 70%, have secured placements in well-known companies such as Infosys, Capgemini, CTS, and others. The starting salary packages offered to them range from 1.2 to 2.5 LPA. Our college has attracted top recruiting companies like Infosys, Capgemini, CTS, and Wipro for the placement drives.
Furthermore, nearly all the students have been able to secure internships in NASSCOM certified companies, demonstrating the high internship placement rate.
