Bharathiar University (Bharathiar) is a prestigious state university located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 1982 under the Bharathiar University Act of 1981, it gained recognition from the University Grants Commission in 1985. The university celebrated its silver anniversary on February 24, 2007, with distinguished guests in attendance, including A.P.J. Admissions
Bharathiar University offers a range of diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, and postgraduate programs. To be eligible for Bharathiar University admission, candidates must first meet the specified criteria. After meeting the eligibility requirements, candidates are required to complete the university’s application form to proceed with the admission process.
For admission to diploma, B.Voc., and P.G.D. programs at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, candidates are selected based on the merit scores obtained in the qualifying exam. Entrance test scores are considered for admission to B.P.Ed., M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Sc. Science, M.B.A., and M.C.A. programs.
For the B.P.Ed. program, the selection process includes evaluating the entrance test scores, sports proficiency test results, marks obtained in the qualifying exam, previous participation/representation certificates, and a physical fitness test. TANCET scores are accepted for admission to the M.B.A. and M.C.A. programs. Additionally, candidates need to participate in Government College of Technology, Coimbatore counseling and TANCET counseling for seat allotment in the M.B.A. and M.C.A. programs, respectively, as per the Bharathiar University admission criteria.
