Established in 1964, Bharathi Women’s College (Autonomous) is a government institution located in Chennai. It is affiliated with the University of Madras and holds recognition from the University Grants Commission. The college has been reaccredited by NAAC with a B grade. Offering a diverse range of programs, the college provides 13 undergraduate, 12 postgraduate, and 5 M.Phil & Ph.D. programs.

Admissions
The admission process for Bharathi Women’s College in 2023 is exclusively for female students seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs. The college also offers admission to PhD and M.Phil degree courses. To be eligible for UG programs, students must have successfully completed the 12th grade with high marks from a reputable board. For postgraduate courses, students should possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
For the 2023-24 academic year, Bharathi Women’s College admission will be determined based on the students’ performance in their previous qualifying examinations. The college will then compile a merit list, and applicants can subsequently apply for the desired courses.

The career counseling department at Bharathi Women’s College operates under the belief that “success belongs to those who are prepared for it.” The placement cell is dedicated to meeting the students’ needs by providing ample placement opportunities and enhancing their employability skills to align with the ever-growing employment prospects across industries. The placement cell established a dedicated email ID for efficient and regular communication. Students were kept informed about placement updates through circulars and flyers.
