Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) in Chennai, previously known as Bharath Engineering College, was established in 1984 by S. Jagathrakshakan. BIHER conducts the Bharath Engineering Entrance Examination (BEEE) for admissions to various courses. In addition to BEEE, BIHER accepts NATA scores for B.Arch admissions, NEET-UG for MBBS admissions, and NEET-PG for MD admissions. The NEET UG 2022 has concluded, and the NEET-PG 2022 results have been announced. The first and second tests of NATA 2022 have also been completed, with results available. The third test of NATA 2022 is scheduled for July 24, 2022, and candidates can download the admit cards starting from July 21, 2022. The results for the NATA 2022 third test will be declared on August 03, 2022.

BIHER, also known as the Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), is a private and deemed university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It has received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has achieved the highest rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Additionally, BIHER has obtained approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Admissions

Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research provides admissions at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in various disciplines such as Technology, Commerce, Science, Arts, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Architecture, and Computer Applications.

For undergraduate courses, except for B.Tech and B.Arch, admissions are based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examinations or its equivalent. However, for B.Tech courses, admissions are offered according to the performance in the Bharath Engineering Entrance Examination (BEEE). As for B.Arch courses, admissions are granted based on the rank achieved in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).

For postgraduate courses, admissions are determined by the marks obtained in the graduation or its equivalent qualification. For doctoral courses, admissions are based on the performance in post-graduation.

Final admissions are extended to candidates who have successfully completed the document verification process and paid the requisite admission fees for the chosen course. Placements

The process of providing job opportunities to final-year students or those nearing the completion of their courses is known as placement. At Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, the responsibility of overseeing placements lies with the training and placement cell. This cell organizes a range of activities such as guest lectures, seminars, and workshops conducted by industry experts to assist students in their placement endeavors. Additionally, the placement cell offers training courses in quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and conducts mock interviews for the benefit of the students.

According to the official placement report, 426 students were successfully placed during the academic year 2019-20. The campus witnessed the participation of 175 companies, with an average salary offered to students amounting to Rs 3.5 lakhs per annum.
