B.Padmanaban Jayanthimala College of Arts and Science, located in Tamil Nadu, is an esteemed institution established in 2000. The institute offers a comprehensive range of ten full-time degree courses. With a diverse selection of nine undergraduate programs, the institute has garnered a strong reputation in various fields. The courses offered include B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BBA, BCA, and M.A. in the disciplines of Humanities & Social Sciences, Accounting & Commerce, Science, Business & Management Studies, and IT & Software. Students have the opportunity to choose from these courses. Over time, B.Padmanaban Jayanthimala College of Arts and Science has built expertise through its well-trained and experienced faculty members in English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science. The institute has a capacity to accommodate a total of 587 students across all courses.
Admissions
For admission to the BBA program, students are required to have successfully cleared their Class XII examination from a recognized board in the Science stream, with a minimum aggregate of 50% to 60%.
A minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 examination is required for eligibility in any relevant stream, with English as a mandatory subject.
Candidates interested in the BBA program must have passed their Class 12 examinations from a recognized board in any stream.
To be eligible for the B.Sc. program, candidates should have completed their Graduation in Science or an equivalent field from a recognized board. Additionally, they must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying examination. Candidates in their final year of degree can also apply for admission.
For admission to the B.Com, BBA (any stream), and BA Economics programs, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks is required from a recognized university.
Placements
The placement process begins with the placement invitation being sent to companies, along with a concise overview of the academic curriculum. Additionally, a Job Response Form (JRF) is provided to recruiters, requesting details such as company information, job description, salary, etc.
Upon receiving the JRF, companies duly complete the form and submit it to the Training & Placement (T&P) office.
To familiarize students with the placement procedures and policies, the Training & Placement Officer organizes an orientation program. During this program, various aspects of the placement process are discussed, and any queries or concerns raised by students are addressed.
Following the orientation program, the placement office collects relevant information from students through a Bio-data form.
Companies are given the option to conduct a Pre-Placement Talk on campus either before the selection processes commence or in conjunction with the final recruitment stage.
Once the placement office receives confirmation and the completed JRF from a company, they announce the company’s requirements to the students. This allows interested students to express their willingness to participate in the Campus Recruitment Procedure for that particular company, and their resumes are then forwarded to the company.
The company then shortlists candidates from the pool of applications and subsequently communicates the list to the Placement Office.
