Located in the vibrant city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Arignar Anna Institute of Science and Technology was established in 1999 as a private college. With a strong emphasis on specialized engineering disciplines, such as B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech, Arignar Anna Institute of Science and Technology provides students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and expertise in various fields, including Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, VLSI Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering. The majority of the courses offered by the institute are approved by AICTE. With a total of 510 seats available, the fee for these courses ranges from INR 200,000. Admissions
Admission to the institute requires a minimum eligibility criteria of 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For BE/B.Tech programs, candidates are shortlisted based on their marks in 10+2 and subsequently undergo TNEA counseling. Additionally, for the B.Arch program, candidates must have a valid NATA score.
For admission to the postgraduate programs, candidates must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree in B.E./B.Tech. with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying examination. They are also required to have appeared for the TANCET exam conducted by Anna University.
However, candidates who have qualified the GATE exam in Engineering/Technology are exempted from the TANCET exam. It is important to note that candidates with a valid GATE score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers are still required to appear for the TANCET exam.
