Established in 1952, Agurchand Manmull Jain College is a prestigious institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The institute offers a total of 44 full-time degree courses, including 30 undergraduate courses across various streams. It is a partnership institute and holds a Grade B+ accreditation by NAAC. The institute has a maximum capacity of 43 students per course.
The campus is well-equipped with facilities including an auditorium, boys’ hostel, cafeteria, girls’ hostel, gym, hospital/medical facilities, hostels, labs, library, and sports complex. The institute has two cafeterias to cater to the students’ needs. Additionally, there are two hostels with a capacity to accommodate 200 students. The institute provides 18 well-equipped labs for practical learning, and there are two libraries with a collection of 81,867 books and 23 journals. Furthermore, the institute boasts seven sports complexes within its premises, providing ample opportunities for sports and recreational activities.
Admissions
In the undergraduate domain, the college offers a variety of courses with specializations. These include 6 specializations in BA, 13 specializations in B.Sc., and 7 specializations in B.Com, BBA, and BCA programs.
At the postgraduate level, there are courses available for graduates. This includes 2 specializations in MA, 5 specializations in M.Sc., M.Com, and several research-oriented courses in 4 disciplines.
Admissions to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses are based on the candidates’ previous academic records and eligibility criteria set by the University. For admission to the undergraduate courses at Arunai Engineering College, the TNCPEE Score is considered.
Application forms for admissions are available in offline mode. The selection process for UG and PG courses is purely based on merit in the qualifying examination, followed by counseling and personal interview sessions.
For Ph.D. admissions, candidates are selected based on merit followed by a written test as per the guidelines provided by the affiliating University.
