Admissions
Alpha College of Engineering, located in Chennai, offers a comprehensive B.Tech program in various specializations. The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to the program is a 10+2 qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in the Science stream (PCM). However, there are relaxed criteria for candidates belonging to backward categories such as Backward, Most Backward/SC/ST/SCA, with the minimum marks being 45% and 40%, respectively.
To secure admission in the B.E/B.Tech course, aspiring candidates must apply for the Tamil Nadu State Government TNEA counseling conducted by Anna University. This counseling process serves as the gateway to admission.
For the MBA program, candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline are eligible to apply. To gain admission to the MBA program, candidates must have appeared in the TANCET or the entrance test conducted by the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional, Arts, and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Candidates seeking admission under the Management Quota seats have the option to approach the institute directly. However, their admission is subject to government rules and regulations.
Lateral Entry admissions, on the other hand, are conducted by the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Tamil Nadu. The selection process for lateral entry is based on the merit of the qualifying examinations.
