Admissions
To be eligible for admission, B.Sc. Nursing graduates are required to have one year of experience in a hospital, teaching in a college or school of nursing, or participating in a community health program after being registered with the State Nursing Council. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing candidates should also possess a minimum of one year of work experience either before or after their degree.
For male candidates, those who have studied a course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in place of Midwifery are eligible for admission to Branch III and IV. Additionally, all candidates must provide a certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer, confirming their physical fitness to undergo the academic program.
The minimum academic requirements include obtaining 55% marks in B.Sc. Nursing for all candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates. Furthermore, applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 examination, or an equivalent recognized by the University for admission.
In addition, candidates should possess a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and be registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses’ Registration Council.
