Admissions
The New College offers courses in both day and evening shifts, with the evening shift courses being self-financed. Candidates have the option to apply for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), Ph.D., and M. Phil courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science subjects.
The application process is conducted online, and application forms can also be obtained from the college or through postal service.
For UG courses, the last date for submitting completed application forms will be 10 days after the publication of the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination results.
Similarly, for PG courses, the last date for submitting forms will be 10 days after the publication of the Undergraduate Degree Examination results of the University of Madras.
To be eligible for UG programs, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board. Graduates in the relevant discipline are eligible to apply for PG courses. For Ph.D. programs, candidates must possess a PG degree in the concerned subject.
Selection to the courses is based on the merit of the qualifying examination and may involve an interview process.
