Admissions
Admissions for the 2023 session at SSE Chennai are currently open. The college offers a wide range of programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, including B.Tech, M.E, B.E, and Ph.D., with various specializations. Additionally, the college provides Lateral Entry admission for direct entry into the second year of B.E./B.Tech. Admission to SSE is based on an entrance exam conducted by the college, and applications are invited online for different courses.
For B.E. and B.Tech admission, candidates are selected through JEE Main / TNEA counseling. To be eligible, candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, obtaining a minimum aggregate of 45% from a recognized board.
M.E. / M.Tech admission is granted based on valid TANCET / GATE scores. Candidates applying for M.E. and M.Tech should hold a B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognized university.
Ph.D. admissions are based on the candidate’s UGC NET exam score, followed by counseling. Candidates must have achieved a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in their previous Master’s / M.Phil degree to be eligible for admission.
