Admissions

Candidates seeking admission to the first year or first semester of the Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology at this university must have passed the second-year Pre-University or XII standard (or an equivalent examination recognized by the university). They should have obtained a minimum of forty-five percent (45%) aggregate marks in the qualifying exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.

For admission to the first year or first semester of Diploma courses, candidates must have passed the SLC or X standard (or an equivalent examination recognized by the university).

The admission to diploma courses is based on merit in each category of reservation. 50% of the total seats are reserved for various groups of society, while the remaining 50% of seats are allotted based on marks scored in the SSLC in Science and Maths for technical courses. For non-technical courses, the total marks obtained by the candidate in SSLC are taken into consideration.

As for the M.Tech. Course, candidates need to have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in all the years of the degree examinations. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST and Group I categories must have a minimum aggregate percentage of 45% in the qualifying examinations to be eligible for admission.
