In 1933, the School of Post Graduate Studies at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) was founded as a private educational institution. Its primary objective is to offer higher education opportunities in the fields of Engineering, Management, and Science, thereby enabling students to pursue successful careers in these domains. The School of Post Graduate Studies at TNAU is recognized and approved by the prestigious Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and is affiliated with TNAU in Coimbatore. Dr. A. Rajarajan serves as the esteemed Dean, overseeing the management and operations of the School of Post Graduate Studies at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.
Admissions
For postgraduate (PG) courses, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks to meet the eligibility criteria for admission. Selection for admission is based on the performance in the university-level entrance test.
Regarding Ph.D. programs, candidates need to possess a postgraduate degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks to fulfill the admission requirements.

According to the TNAU Coimbatore placement report for the academic year 2019-20, based on the NIRF report, a total of 1127 eligible students participated in placements for undergraduate courses. Out of these, 201 students received job offers, while 228 students opted for higher studies. For postgraduate courses, the median salary offered to students after completion of their studies in the same year was Rs. 4,50,000 for undergraduate courses and Rs. 5,04,000 for postgraduate courses.
