Admissions

  • Candidates who have successfully completed the Diploma in Pharmacy examination conducted by the Board of Examinations of the Government of Tamil Nadu or any other State Board recognized as equivalent by the University authority are eligible for admission.

  • To be considered for admission to the Master of Pharmacy Post-Graduate Degree course, candidates must have passed the B.Pharmacy Degree from this University or any other University recognized as equivalent by the University authority.

  • For admission to the Pharm.D degree course, candidates must have attained a minimum age of 17 years on or before December 31st of the academic year in which they are seeking admission.

  • Candidates from all categories, except Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes, must have obtained individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Botany & Zoology or Mathematics in both theory and practical exams, with a minimum of 35% marks. Additionally, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the above subjects is mandatory in the qualifying examination (Academic Stream), following 12 years of study, i.e., the 10+2 education pattern.

  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes must have obtained individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Botany & Zoology or Mathematics in both theory and practical exams, with a minimum of 35% marks. Furthermore, they should have achieved a minimum aggregate of 40% marks in the above subjects.

Placements

The Training and Placement department, as the interactive division of the institute, carries out the following functions and responsibilities:

  1. Cultivates interaction between the industry and the institute by organizing and coordinating regular industrial visits, internship training, and projects that are relevant to the students. The primary goal is to bridge the gap between the industry and academia.

  2. Receives and forwards feedback from various sources.

  3. Provides individual expert counseling to assist each student in defining their career interests.

  4. Offers an updated database of companies, including their job profiles, enabling students to analyze and choose companies based on their preferences.

  5. Organizes and coordinates the Campus Placement Program, ensuring that every aspiring student has the opportunity to secure a job.

  6. Conducts workshops on Soft Skill Training, focusing on enhancing areas such as communication, interpersonal skills, and personality development.
