Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology is a rising institution renowned for its excellent engineering education. Situated on East Coast Road in the historic town of Mamallapuram, the college is operated by the Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust, which has been dedicated to the field of education for over ten years. With approval from the AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliation with Anna University, Chennai, the largest technical university, the college maintains high standards. Furthermore, it holds accreditation from NAAC with a “B++” grade, showcasing its commitment to quality education.
The college initially commenced its journey in 2001, offering three undergraduate engineering programs and admitting 150 students annually. Today, it proudly offers twelve undergraduate and six postgraduate programs, with an increased annual intake of 1032 students. This notable expansion in programs and student intake is a testament to the college’s consistent growth over the years, supported by its clearance from the AICTE and affiliation with Anna University.

Admissions
The admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering is based on merit, taking into consideration the candidate’s performance in the 10+2 examination for undergraduate programs or their Bachelor’s degree for postgraduate programs. Additionally, candidates are evaluated based on their scores or ranks in the respective entrance exams required for each course. For BE and B.Tech courses, the TNEA exam is considered, while for the MBA program, candidates are evaluated based on their performance in exams such as TANCET, CET, or MAT. ME and M.Tech programs consider scores from exams like TANCET, CET, or GATE, while the MCA program evaluates candidates based on TANCET or CET scores.
